Outrageous, contagious, win! Will Smith joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Thursday, Feb. 5, where the two had the entire audience on its feet as they impressively rapped their own special rendition of “It Takes Two” by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock.

“We have a lot in common,” Fallon told the Focus actor. “We both love music. We like rap music. You’re a famous rapper. I’m a classically trained beatboxer.” The late-night host then brought out his iPad and opened an app called Loopy, a recorded layering tool that helps aspiring rappers and artists create, well, musical loops.

After creating their background beatbox loops, Smith and Fallon then launched into rapping the lyrics from the classic hip-hop anthem, replacing them with their own freestyle rendition. “I wanna rock right now, I’m Will Smith and I’m J-Fall,” the two rapped into their microphones. “I’m not internationally known. Me and the Roots come from the same home [Philly].”

The charismatic stars eventually took their seated performance over to the stage, which prompted the entire crowd to stand up, dance, and rap along with Smith and Fallon.

Their amazing performance comes after Fallon ruled the late-night circuit (and the Internet!) this week as Tonight Show host. On Monday’s show, he executed a viral spoof of beloved ’90s sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, a show which helped cement Smith’s superstar status.

On Wednesday, Fallon got most of the main stars of Saved by the Bell together for an incredible reunion skit.
