Daughter of legendary producer Aaron Spelling and Candy Spelling, Tori Spelling got her big break in 1990 when she landed the role of Donna Martin on the hit teen soap Beverly Hills, 90210.
When the series ended in 2000, Tori appeared in 2001’s Scary Movie 2 and 2004’s 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover. Tori was married to writer and actor Charlie Shanian from 2004 to 2006 before meeting Dean McDermott on the set of the made-for-TV movie Mind Over Murder. Tori and McDermott exchanged vows in May 2006 and went on to welcome five children: son Liam in 2007, daughter Stella in 2008, daughter Hattie in 2011, son Finn in 2013 and son Beau in 2017. (McDermott shares his eldest son, Jack, with ex Mary Jo Eustace.)
Tori and McDermott’s tumultuous marriage was captured on reality TV on their shows Tori & Dean: Inn Love (2007) and Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood (2008). Tori was the subject of another reality series, True Tori, in 2014 and was a contestant on The Masked Singer in 2019.
Along with her acting career, Tori has published six books, including 2008’s New York Times bestseller Stori Telling. In 2020, Spelling launched the Beverly Hills 90210 rewatch podcast, “9021OMG,” with her former costar Jennie Garth.
In June 2023, McDermott announced in a since-deleted Instagram post that he and Tori had separated.
