Jersey Shore's Sammi Giancola is being (what else?) a sweetheart following her split from former costar Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. The reality star briefly opened up about her ex hours after it was revealed they went their separate ways during the CC Sabathia and Robinson Cano's Summer Classic Charity Basketball Game in NYC on Thursday, Aug. 21.
"It's true. We are no longer together," the 27-year-old told reporters at Barclays Center. "I wish him the best but I'm focused on me right now."
Us confirmed earlier this week that the on-again, off-again couple of five years called it quits. Ortiz-Magro, 28, revealed the news himself at the premiere of JWoww's new film, Jersey Shore Massacre, in NYC on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
"We just grew our separate ways," he told Us. "She's still a great person. I love her as a person and I care about her but we went our separate ways. That's it."

"At the end of the day, we went through a lot of stuff together," he added of Giancola, whom he officially broke ties with two months ago. "We have a lot of history so I keep her close."
Giancola seems to have taken the same approach, and admits she's currently not dating anyone else. "I'm kind of just doing my own thing," she said. As for her type when love strikes again? "If someone is funny, I'll love you. If you're funny I'll love you forever."
