Add it to his resume! It looks like Ryan Seacrest will be standing at the altar next to his younger sister, Meredith, at her upcoming wedding. The American Idol host shared on Thursday, Oct. 8, that he was asked to be her "man of honor" on the special day.

"I have a role in my sisters wedding," Seacrest, 40, captioned an Instagram photo of Meredith's sweet, poetic request. "just shed tear. Love u mere."

The bride-to-be gave her older brother a poem about the important role. "I'm on my way to say 'I do,' and wanted to talk about me and you. You've been by my side all of my life and I wouldn't want you anywhere else, when I become a wife," it reads.

"I'm so lucky to have you as my brother, and couldn't imagine celebrating with anyone other. So basically what I'm trying to say… Will you be my Man of Honor on my special day!?"

The siblings announced Meredith's engagement last month. "Finally the pressure’s off [for] me to have grandkids," Seacrest captioned an Instagram pic of the future spouses at the time. Just days earlier, Seacrest's ex-girlfriend Julianne Hough announced she was engaged to her boyfriend, Brooks Laich. (Us confirmed this past June that Seacrest is now dating former Miss Teen USA Hilary Cruz.)
