Who Wins America’s Next Drag Superstar?
You better work! RuPaul was initially unsure who to crown as America’s Next Drag Superstar, so naturally he made his finalists lip sync for their lives during the show’s finale. After that amazingness, Ru spent about an hour ruminating on who should win while he interviewed old contestants, walked us through highlights of the season, and chatted to icons of the drag world. It was beyond!
Ultimately, Ru was impressed by all three ladies (to quote: “you just flooded my basement!”), but ultimately Violet took home the crown –– literally! More importantly, she won a $100,000 cash prize, a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, and a bejeweled crown and scepter. Looks like Ginger and Pearl are sashaying away to the runner-up zone.
Also, shout-out to Miley Cyrus, who was most definitely sitting in the audience watching the winner take the crown!
