Iron Man makes really cute babies! Robert Downey Jr. shared a photo of his 5-month-old daughter Avri for the first time during an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman on Thursday, April 23.
“I have three: a 21-year-old, Indio, a 3-year-old, Exton, and now Avri is a little over 5 months. I thought I’d show the first picture on planet Earth here with you, kind sir,” the 50-year-old said.
Little Avri’s debut received a sweet round of applause from the audience (how could it not!?) as Downey Jr. gushed about the tyke, whom he welcomed with wife Susan in November 2014.
“The yellow bonnet helps! You gotta love a yellow bonnet,” the actor teased. Letterman replied: “She’s beautiful.”
Indeed, and she’s also been a wonderful addition to the family. (The couple welcomed son Exton in February 2012. Downey Jr. shares son Indio with his ex-wife Deborah Falconer.)

“No rivalry?” Letterman asked. “Not yet. It’s natural for Exton to want to bite her once in a while,” the star said. “It can start off as a little pet and then it turns into a nibble. I think it’s just establishing dominance. She’ll be running stuff at some point.”
During the chat, Downey Jr. also chatted about his recent 50th birthday bash — which he threw himself! As previously reported, the Avengers hunk was feted in April at Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar by famous pals such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Katie Holmes, Reese Witherspoon, Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Aniston, Dustin Hoffman, and more.
