Glamming up for a good cause!
The stars stepped out en masse to celebrate The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation’s 2nd annual St. Tropez Gala on Wednesday, July 22, but none shined brighter than Kate Hudson. The blonde beauty, 36, steamed up the scene in a sheer black Julien Macdonald dress with a corset-style bodice and peep-toe heels.
The Almost Famous alum looked thrilled to be attending the charitable event—just look at that grin!—and it’s no wonder. Hudson had a very special date for the evening: her mama, Goldie Hawn, who looked lovely in a flowing, pale green gown, which she accessorized with golden statement jewels.
Before the night was through, Hudson hopped on Instagram to share a gorgeous group shot with the ladies at the event, including Michelle Rodriguez (also in a peekaboo number), which she simply captioned, “St. Tropez,” complete with a French flag emoji.
As for the rest of the ladies, Nina Dobrev stepped out working a white Reem Acra dress with a plunging neckline and golden accents, while Marion Cotillard stunned in a short-sleeved, navy-blue dress, embellished with a floral print. Irina Shayk modeled Atelier Versace, Kelly Rorhbach chose a lavender-hued lace dress, and Chrissy Teigen (with her husband, John Legend) turned heads in a yellow floral halter dress.
The gents cleaned up nice, too. The man of the hour, Leonardo DiCaprio, cut a fine figure in a slate suit with a pale blue shirt. He stopped to pose with Orlando Bloom, who donned navy separates and a white button-up, sans tie.

The Oscar-nominated actor, 40, took the stage at the start of the event to thank his guests, and to stress the importance of his foundation’s work. “Tonight’s event is about supporting LDF’s efforts to protect key species like the tiger, rhino, shark, and mountain gorilla by working with governments to conserve the jungles, coral reefs, and forests they call home,” he said of the gala, which raised more than $40 million to help preserve the environment.
The actor added, “By focusing on protecting these critically endangered iconic species, it’s almost like setting up a worldwide network of Noah’s arks.”
