Stunning! Gisele Bundchen took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 15, to mark her runway retirement in one gorgeous way.

The veteran model, 34, shared a striking vintage photo of herself as a teen up-and-comer in honor of her final runway show on Wednesday evening. In the shot, a young Bundchen wears her long, sun-kissed locks down and straight, looking away from the camera in a black tank top.

“I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey,” the Brazilian beauty wrote, looking back on her years on the runway. “Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business. #firstrunway #14yearsold.”

The mother of two announced her retirement from fashion runways this week, telling a local Brazilian newspaper that she will be spending her time on other projects.

“I don’t see how to continue [modeling on the catwalk]… and stopping will leave room for other projects I have for myself,” Bundchen told the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper. “Automatically my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop. I respect my body, it’s a privilege to be able to stop.”

Bundchen, who is raising son Benjamin, 5, and daughter Vivian, 2, with her husband Tom Brady, will make her final runway appearance in Brazil at the Colcci fashion show. In the decades she spent strutting her stuff, the supermodel has been featured in hundreds of runway shows and magazine spreads, earning her the title of the world’s highest-paid model with an estimated 2014 gross of $47 million.
